The Creative at the Helm
I'm Yasmin, the Creative at the helm of the Light Studio.
My work brings together creativity, intuition and practical experience, shaped by more than 30 years of exploring, learning, creating, teaching and working with people in many different ways. Gee wiz... where did that time go?
From spiritual guidance and energy work to art, workshops, dance teaching, Moon gatherings and creative collaboration, my work has grown and evolved organically over the years. At the heart of it all is a desire to support people as they connect, explore, create and grow in ways that feel true to them.
My Journey
My journey began in the early 1990s teaching Ballroom Dancing. I've always been a teacher at heart. Expression, movement and working with people have always been my thing. From there I studied Art & Design, and later, through running my own businesses, moved into graphic design, website creation and the practical side of building a business.
I also taught Chakra Dancing, discovering a beautiful meeting place of movement, energy and awareness. It taught me early on that spirituality isn't something that only happens in our heads. We experience it through our bodies too.
In the late 1990s, I stepped into Reiki and Aromatherapy. I completed my Reiki Master training in 2012, and over more than 15 years my energy work has naturally evolved and deepened. Today it draws on intuition, energy, ritual, nature, spirit and the subtle layers of our experience.
Alongside this, Psychic Readings have remained at the heart of my work for more than 20 years. I've also facilitated meditations, Moon Ceremonies, workshops and gatherings, continually discovering new ways to bring spirituality out of the abstract and into everyday life.
Creativity has always been woven through it all. Art, colour, nature and making things with my hands aren't separate from my spiritual practice; they are part of it.
There have been many teachers, many lessons and plenty of unexpected turns along the way. I wouldn't have it any other way.
Spiritual ~ Practical ~ Soulful
For me, being soulful is about connection, with ourselves, with others, with creativity, nature and the things that bring meaning to our lives.
Being practical means bringing that connection into everyday life, through the way we breathe, take action, notice, create, make choices and move through the world.
And spirituality? Well, I don't believe there is one right way to experience it. We are all unique, and I'm certainly not here to tell you what your truth should look like. The word should and I don't really get along.
The Light Studio sits somewhere between the soulful, the practical and the spiritual, with room for curiosity, creativity, laughter and the occasional “Ohhh... now I get it.”
How I Work
There isn't a formula.
Every person arrives with their own story, questions, experiences and way of seeing the world. I listen, tune in and notice what is present, allowing the work to unfold naturally.
Sometimes there is a clear message or a shift in perspective. Sometimes there are questions, laughter, tears or simply a moment to pause and sit with what is.
My role isn't to tell you what to think, believe or decide. Your choices belong to you. I offer another perspective, intuitive insight, energetic support and a space to hear your own inner knowing.
There is room here for the practical and the spiritual, the deep stuff and a good natter. You don't need to arrive with everything figured out.
